Almay Intense i-Color for Blue Eyes All Day Wear Powder Shadow: Review & Swatches

Another display I spotted at Walgreens had some new eyeshadows from Almay. These are the Intense i-Color All Day Wear Shadows. The display contained 3 different options for each eye color - an everyday neutrals palette, a smokey palette, and then a party look palette. I chose the Everyday Neutrals for Blue Eyes. The other 2 blue eye options were very blue and teal...colors that I like but just don't reach for often! These retailed for $8.99 each.

The packaging is nice. It has a cool shape, and it seems decently sturdy for drugstore.

I do like the collection of colors in this palette. It really does make for a great, everyday eye look. But these shadows aren't super buttery or pigmented. They're not bad, but they're not amazing. Just kind of in the middle. I tried these on my eyes, and the look came out alright in the end, but they did tend to blend in to each other and become kind of all one color, which was kind of disappointing.

Overall, I think these are just ok. For $8.99, I think there are definitely better options out there in the drugstore. Have you tried the new Almay Intense i-Color palettes? What do you think about them?

Milani LE Dolci Bronze Collection: Review & Swatches

I recently spotted the Milani Summer 2015 Limited Edition Dolci Bronze Collection and had to pick up a few things. I decided to go with the bronzer ($9.99), the lipstick ($5.99), and the eyeshadow ($4.49). There was also a lipgloss and a nail polish in the collection.

The display and packaging on this collection is really pretty. It has a very bronzy, summery feel to it! Everything in the collection is in the shade Dolci.

The bronzer duo is really nice! It includes 2 matte powders. The bronzer is a very warm-toned bronzer, but I really like it for summer! I'm not quite sure what to use the other powder for, though. It's just a little too dark to be a highlight. I'm going to play around with it a little and see what I can figure out with it.

The eyeshadow is absolutely gorgeous!! It is a beautiful rose gold with a lighter, champagne golden sheen to it. I can't wait to wear this shadow!

Here it is in comparison to Bella Gold and Bella Bronze. They're definitely all very different shades, but all stunning!

The lipstick is...interesting, I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a frosted copper with a slightly burgundy tone to it that might help make it a little more wearable. I'm going to try it on my lips and see if I can make it work! It's definitely pigmented and a pretty color. We'll just have to see how wearable it ends up being. Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel for a follow up on it!

This is a really fun collection for summer! Have you picked up anything from the Milani Dolci Bronze collection?

Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick in Fireball: Review & Swatches

Also in that Covergirl display, I saw the Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipsticks. So I picked up one in Fireball. I thought it would be a really fun orangey coral for summer! These retail for $8.99 at Walgreens.

The packaging on these is ok. It's a very reflective, mirrored look. And it does show fingerprints like crazy, so it can look tend to look dirty. But I do like it overall.

Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick in Fireball

I absolutely love this color! Fireball is exactly what I was hoping it would be - a fun, bright coral. And it's super pigmented and creamy. I wore this on my lips, and I really liked the formula. It went on evenly, felt comfortable on the lips, and wore nicely throughout the day. It wasn't the most long wearing lipstick I've ever worn, but it was also much more moisturizing and comfortable than a lot that I've tried.

I'm a fan of these! I definitely want to get more! Have you tried the new Covergirl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipsticks?

Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams in Caramel Cream: Review & Swatches

I spotted a big Covergirl at Walgreens recently. You know that magical place of finding limited edition and new displays ... the end cap. Probably the first place we all look when walking in to a drugstore!

I'm a sucker for lip crayons, so I had to grab one of the Covergirl Gloss Balm Creams to try out. I picked the shade Caramel Dream. It looked like it would be a nice, everyday nude color. It retails for $8.29 so a bit on the pricier side!

The packaging is very reminiscent of most of the lip crayons that are out right now. The packaging matches the color of the lip product inside, which is really cute and also convenient!

So this swatches really nicely on the hand. It's a really pretty peachy nude shade. But on the lips, it has some problems. It shows every imperfection on the lips and is very unforgiving. Something about it just looks strange. So disappointing!

Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams in Caramel Dream

It may just be the shade that I picked, but overall, I'm not wowed by this product. I'd be interested to try at least one more color (I believe there are 6 in the line?) to see if it'd perform better.

Have you tried the new Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams? What has been your experience with them?

Rimmel Keep Calm and Lip Balm in Rose Blush: Review & Swatches

I was perusing the Walmart beauty aisles recently and spotted a display of the new Rimmel Keep Calm and Lip Balms. There were quite a few options of colors, but I went with Rose Blush, which looked like a pinky fuchsia. My kind of color! These retailed for 2 for $5.00.

The packaging reminds me of the Maybelline Baby Lips. It's cute and has an 80's vibe to it.

Rimmel Keep Calm and Lip Balm in Rose Blush

This product is supposed to be s moisturizing balm that leaves your lips soft with a hint of tint. And that's pretty much a dead-on description. This pretty much performs like a tinted lip balm. It feels comfortable on the lips and seems to moisturize well. But the main negative is that it has a very strong fake sweet smell. I almost can't handle it. It does dissipate on my lips, but I can still smell it a little bit.

All in all, I'd say these are ok. I probably won't be collecting more of these though. Have you tried any of the Keep Calm and Lip Balm?

IT Cosmetics CC+ Radiance Vitality Brightening Creme Disc: Review & Swatches

I have another IT Cosmetics product review for you guys today. Today it's on the CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Disc. This is a new product from the line and is a creme version of their very popular Vitality Face Disc. It retails for $38 and can be purchased from Ulta or from IT Cosmetics directly.

The packaging is really nice and sleek.
These all swatch nicely and have great pigmentation. The blush is a beautiful pinky mauve. The highlight is a light champagne, and the bronzer is a slightly reddish, warm-toned one.

I've used this several times, and for some reason, I always find creme bronzers a little more difficult to use. But I really love the blush and highlight! And I think with more practice, I'll get better at using the creme bronzer too. But this is a great creme product for those with dry skin!  I've found the blush and highlight very easy to apply and blend (I use small stippling brushes to apply them.), and you've got the added benefit of good ingredients like peptides, collagen, antioxidants, and more.

Overall, if you're a fan of creme face products or if you have dry skin, I think this is a great product. And I just love how IT puts such great ingredients in all their products. They take their color cosmetics to another level and add skincare in as well!

It Cosmetics CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush: Review & Swatches

I recently attended an IT Cosmetics event, so I've been playing around with the goodies we received. And I'm loving all of it so far! Today I have swatches and a review on the CC+ Vitality Brightening Creme Blush.

The packaging on this blush is so sleek and nice. The price of this blush is $24 and can be purchased at Ulta or directly from IT Cosmetics.

The color is a beautiful, pinky mauve. And it blends onto the skin so nicely. This is definitely one of the easiest creme blushes I've ever used. And it wears really well throughout the day. Not to mention that this blush (like all IT products) has great, skin-loving ingredients like peptides, collagen, antioxidants, and more. Added bonus there!

I highlight recommend this blush! I feel like I'm going to get a lot of use out of it throughout the entire year.

Wet N Wild LE California Dreaming Collection - Megaslicks Balm Tints: 1st Impression & Swatches

Here's another first impression on some more goodies from the LE Wet N Wild California Dreaming Collection. I picked up 2 of the Megaslicks Balm Tints. These retail for $2.99, and I found mine at Walgreens.

I picked out Pack a Punch, a pretty raspberry pink, and Don't Be Jelly!, a nice lavender.

Left to right: 34601 Don't Be Jelly!, 34599 Pack a Punch

Something to note with these is that they are labeled as Balm Tints, not Balm Stains. But surprisingly, they do stain! The second photo below shows the stains left behind after I wiped them off with a dry tissue. But these are very sheer, glossy lip colors, unlike the regular Balm Stains from Wet N Wild's line that are much more opaque.

Swatches left to right: 34601 Don't Be Jelly!, 34599 Pack a Punch

Stains left behind, left to right: 34601 Don't Be Jelly!, 34599 Pack a Punch

I think that these are pretty fun. If you're looking for an easy-breezy type lip color that will also leave your lips with a little bit of a stain, I think these would be an option for you!

NYC LE Makeup My Spring - Cityproof Twistable Intense Lip Colors: 1st Impression & Swatches

Today I've got some swatches for you of the new NYC New York Color Cityproof Twistable Lip Colors from the Makeup Your Spring collection. I found these at CVS and they were $2.99 each.

I'm already a huge fan of these lip crayons from NYC. They have cute, colorful packaging that matches the lip colors inside, great formula and pigmentation, and a nice price point.  So I grabbed all 3 of the shades that come in this collection, 001 Peach Smoothie, 002 Dragon Fruit, and 003 Raspberry Juice.

Left to right: 001 Peach Smoothie, 002 Dragon Fruit, and 003 Raspberry Juice

These all swatch nicely and are perfect colors for spring. It's hard to pick a favorite. I'd highly recommend these!

Wet N Wild LE California Dreaming Collection - Bronzers: 1st Impressions & Swatches

I get so excited about limited edition collections from super affordable brands at the drugstore, like Wet N Wild. I came across the California Dreaming collection, I had to pick up the 2 bronzers. I found these at Walgreens and they retail for $3.99 each.

The packaging on these is the same as the bronzers from their regular line, only these have a rubbery texture, sort of like Nars packaging has.

Left to right: 34593 Bare in Mind, 34594 Toast to You

34593 Bare in Mind

34594 Toast to You

These are both pretty warm-toned bronzers, particularly Toast to You. It has a especially warm tone to it and is slightly reddish tinted, which could actually work fairly well for those of us who naturally have a more red-toned color when we tan. (Incidentally, mine borders on sunburn/suntan sometimes...Courtesy of my interesting mix of Norwegian and Cherokee roots! Ha!)

Swatches left to right: 34593 Bare in Mind, 34594 Toast to You

The texture on these is actually really nice! They have a buttery texture and blend so nicely! All in all, I'd recommend these for super affordable, warm-toned matte bronzers!

NYC LE Makeup Your Spring Collection - IndividualEyes Palettes: 1st Impression & Swatches

I spotted the display of the NYC New York Color Makeup Your Spring collection recently at CVS and grabbed a few things. I have some swatches and a first impressions look at the eyeshadow palettes today. These retail for $4.99 each.

The packaging on these is the same as their other IndividualEyes palettes. It's nothing special, but it's functional.

001 Pastel Rainbow

002 Pink Sunset

These palettes have some fun colors in them. Pastel Rainbow is my favorite of the two, since it's just fun, unique, and perfect for spring.
001 Pastel Rainbow

002 Pink Sunset

These swatch fairly, I'd say. The texture on these shadows is pretty powdery, though, and they can blend away pretty easily. Both of the palettes have better pigmentation when swatched than they do when applied to the eyes.

Swatches: 001 Pastel Rainbow

Swatches: 002 Pink Sunset

All in all, I'd say these palettes are just ok. If you're looking for some fun, colorful shadows from the drugstore, these might be an option for you. But don't go into your purchase expecting the most amazing texture of eyeshadows ever.

NYC LE Makeup Your Spring Collection - BB Beautifying Blushable Cream Stick: 1st Impression & Swatches

I've heard so much buzz about the NYC New York Color blush sticks. So I had to grab one from the Makeup Your Spring Collection to try out. These retail for $3.99 each, and I found mine at CVS.

The packaging is cute. I really like when the outside packaging matches the color of the product inside. It's pretty, but it's also super convenient for grabbing things from your collection!

NYC New York Color BB Beautifying Blushable Cream Stick in 002 Never Sleeping Pink

I chose the color Never Sleeping Pink. There was also a mauvey pink that looked like it had a sheen to it. I went with Never Sleeping Pink, because it looked like a fun shade for spring.

This swatched pretty intensely! But it also blended out nicely. I'm going to try out this blush and report back to you guys on my YouTube channel!

Too Faced Sugar Pop Eye Shadow Collection: Review & Swatches

I wasn't going to get this palette, but then I did. Lol. In a nutshell! And holy moly, I'm so glad I did! 'Cause just look at those swatches below!!

This palette retails for $36 and can be purchased in Sephora or Ulta stores on on either of their websites - Sephora.com, Ulta.com

The packaging is adorable. Cute. Colorful. Girly. I love everything about it!

This palette is so fun and colorful! I really love the selection of colors they chose for it.

All of the colors swatch really nicely, other than Malted Milk Ball. That one was a little patchy and took some work to build up. But can we talk about Blue Raspberry?! Or Bubblegum? So gorgeous!

Swatches left to right: Rock Candy, Macaron, Malted Milk Ball

Swatches left to right: Strawberry Ice, Sugared Violet, Blackberry

Swatches left to right: Peach Fuzz, Bubblegum, Blue Raspberry

I HIGHLY recommend this palette. I asked your opinions on Instagram, and you all said you love it. You were all so right!! If you're debating this palette, just take the plunge and get it! I think you'll love it!
