Too Faced Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer: Swatches & Review

I've been eyeing the Too Faced Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer for months now. The outside packaging is adorable, and the product itself is just too darn cute for words. It can be purchased from Sephora or Ulta and retails for $30.

The outside packaging matches the other bronzers from Too Faced. It has a girly and sophisticated look to it.

If you're like I was and have been less than wowed after swatching the testers, it might be like the tester I used. The product gets a little washed out by the lights, so the bright, vibrant pink parts become more muted. So you might not be getting a true example of the product.

There are different parts Pink Leopard. Swatched separately, there is a glowy light peach and bronze and also the bright pink. Swirled together, they become a perfect blend between a blush and a bronzer. Perfect summer blush! It gives a youthful, pink, sunkissed look to the skin that is just beautiful.

I am so glad I ended up picking up Pink Leopard. I don't know why I waited so long!

Makeup Forever 9 Artist Shadow Palette Volume 1 - Nudes: Swatches & Review

I was so excited and thankful to receive the Makeup Forever 9 Artist Palette Volume 1 - Nudes in gratis from Sephora. I've been so curious to try these palettes! They retail for $42 and can be purchased from Sephora.

The packaging is really nice. It's a heavy-feeling cardboard with a fun design on the front.

Makeup Forever 9 Artist Shadow Palette Volume 1 - Nudes

This palette contains a nice collection of neutral colors. There isn't a ton of variety though. They're mostly all either creamy champagne shades or taupes. And they're all shimmery, so you're going to have to bring in some matte shades for a complete look.

All the shadows swatch really nicely though. They have a buttery, soft texture. They're nicely pigmented but they also build up well.

Swatched left to right: I-528, I-514, ME-512, S-556, D-562, ME-644, S-102, I-544, D-652

All in all, I really do like this palette, but I don't know that I'd go out and buy it for $42. I think I enjoy my Urban Decay Naked palettes a bit more. (Although I am really tempted by Volume 2 with that gorgeous teal and bright pink!) But if you're a big fan of the Makeup Forever Artist Shadows, you would probably love this palette since you get a nice sampling of shades for a good price break from buying them all individually.

Dose of Colors Highlighter in Pearl Dust: Swatches & Review

I also picked up the Dose of Colors Highlighter in Pearl Dust at the Makeup Show Dallas. They were discounted to $19 at the show, but they retail for $28 on the Dose of Colors website.

Pearl Dust is a sweet, angelic light pink highlight. It has quite a bit of pearly white tones in it. It's absolutely gorgeous, both in the pan and also applied onto the skin.

This shade reminds me of Just a Whisp from Mac, but Pearl Dust seems just a bit lighter and whiter than Just a Whisp. Both are beautiful though!

If you are a fan of light pink highlighters, I think you will love Pearl Dust. Just like Peach Glow, it has a really lovely texture that blends beautifully onto the skin.

Dose of Colors Baked Highlighter in Peach Glow: Swatches & Review

When I went to the Makeup Show Dallas recently, I was so excited to see that the Naime's booth had the Dose of Colors highlighters! I've almost pushed that "Process order" button multiple times on the Dose of Colors website. Every time I hear someone talk about these highlighters, I've wanted them! So I grabbed Peach Glow and Pearl Dust at the show. They were discounted to $19 each but retail for $28 on the Dose of Colors website.

Peach Glow is the one that I've heard the most buzz about. The packaging is simple, clean, and chic. In the pan, it's a gorgeous marbleized blend of gold, white, and peach.

Swatched, it is a beautiful, wearable peach highlight. And it looks amazing on the skin!

I'm so glad I picked up this highlight! I'm really really happy with it!

Loreal Le Matte & La Lacque Lip Colour: Review & Swatches

Back in 2013, Loreal released some limited edition Le Matte Velvety and La Lacque Shiny Full Coverage Lip Colours. They recently re-released them! And these don't say anything on the display about being limited edition, so hopefully they're being made part of the permanent line.  I found these at CVS and they were $9.99 each. But luckily I had a 30% off coupon and got $12 back in Extra Care Bucks, so that helped make the price point more reasonable!

When these were released in 2013, there were fewer shades. Now there are 5 Le Mattes and 5 La Lacques. A picture of the display is below. Because they were on the pricier side, I decided to just pick up 3 Le Mattes and 2 La Lacques to review for you guys.

Left to right: 102 She's So Matte, 106 Mad for Matte, 108 Matte-r of Fact, 205 Lacque and Roll, 209 Choco-Lacque

Loreal Le Matte and La Lacque Lip Colour Display (Found at CVS)

After trying these out on the lips for a while, I really enjoy the Le Mattes. They're pigmented, opaque, easy to apply, comfortable on the lips, and long wearing! The La Lacques are ok. They're nicely pigmented and very shiny, but they have a heavy feeling on the lips. They feel very much like a lip lacquer on the lips.

I'll be posting a review and lip swatch video on my channel soon! What do you think about the re-release of the Le Mattes and La Lacques?

Maybelline Color Blur by LIPSTUDIO Cream Matte Pencil & Smudger: Review & Swatches

Another new from the drugstore post for your today! This one is on the Maybelline Color Blur Cream Matte Pencil & Smudger. I picked up 3 of these from Walmart for $7.73.

Left to right: 05 Pink Insanity, 15 Berry Misbehaved, 50 I Like to Mauve It

Left to right: 05 Pink Insanity, 15 Berry Misbehaved, 50 I Like to Mauve It

On the display, these show 2 different application techniques - full on bold and softly smudged. I've heard that this reverse ombré lip look has been a trend in other countries and is now making its way to the U.S.

I'll be posting a review on my YouTube channel, so keep an eye out for that. There, I'll show you both application techniques on the lips. For the swatches below, I slightly smudged the side of them with the smudger end so you can get an idea of what they look smudged out.

Swatches left to right: 05 Pink Insanity, 15 Berry Misbehaved, 50 I Like to Mauve It

Overall, these seem like a pretty cool product, but they seem a little gimmicky with the smudger end. And I'm not a big fan of the reverse ombré look. But maybe it's something that would grow on me? I'm not sure.

Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss: Review & Swatches

I spotted the new Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Glosses at Walmart and decided to try them. I picked up all the colors that were in the display, but there could possibly be a few more? I'm really not sure on that. But these were $3.93 each, so very affordable!

These have the cutest, 80's inspired packaging. Bright, fun, contrasting colors. I love it!

Left to right: 05 Just a Glimmer, 25 Taupe with Me, 35 Life's a Peach,  40 Tickled Pink, 45 Coral Craze, 60 Berry Chic

Swatches left to right: 05 Just a Glimmer, 25 Taupe with Me, 35 Life's a Peach 40 Tickled Pink, 45 Coral Craze, 60 Berry Chic

These are marketed as glosses that combine color with shine without a sticky feeling on the lips. The formula on these is very comfortable. It feels hydrating but not sticky in the least. However, I think saying "color" is pretty deceiving, because these really don't have much color at all. They're really just shiny glosses with just the tiniest tinge of color.

My favorites from the group are Just a Glimmer for a fun, added shimmer (that incidentally, I can't feel on the lips!) or Berry Chic for a popsicle lip look.

Overall, I like these glosses for what they are. They're comfortable, shiny glosses with adorable packaging. But just don't go in to your purchase expecting a lot of color. Keep an eye out on my YouTube channel for a review and lip swatch video coming soon!

Maybelline Creamy Mattes - 10 New Shades!! Review & Swatches

I about drove myself (and my husband, who helped drive me around on the hunt!) crazy looking for the 10 new Maybelline Creamy Matte shades! I know my drugstore-makeup-loving girls out there understand the struggle! But I finally found them at a different Walmart I don't usually visit. They were $5.50 each. Spotting that display pretty much made my whole day...maybe week too! ;)

So here they are!

Left to right: 656 Clay Crush, 657 Nude Nuance, 681 Vibrant Violet, 682 Blushing Pout, 683 Pink N Chic, 684 Electric Pink, 686 Pink Sugar, 687 All Fired Up, 691 Rich Ruby, 696 Burgundy Blush

These all seem to have the same great formula as the other Maybelline Creamy Mattes, which are some of my very favorite matte lipstick formulas ever.

Swatched left to right: 656 Clay Crush, 657 Nude Nuance, 681 Vibrant Violet, 682 Blushing Pout, 683 Pink N Chic, 684 Electric Pink, 686 Pink Sugar, 687 All Fired Up, 691 Rich Ruby, 696 Burgundy Blush

While I love them all, if I had to pick favorites... I really enjoy Burgundy Blush for a beautiful vampy lip. All Fired Up is just such a fun bright shade. But Clay Crush might be my very favorite. I just love the warmth it has to it; it's a different spin on a nude that we don't normally see a lot of in the drugstore!

I'm so excited about these new shades. Have you spotted any of these in your area yet?
